Currently we are seeking a Marketing Manager for East Asian Programming for our New York City office. This individual will be responsible for the following:
o Develop and execute marketing programs to acquire and retain subscribers for DIRECTV's East Asian programming services, (including Chinese, Korean, Filipino and Vietnamese services), such as advertising, direct marketing, promotions, local event sponsorship and grass-root activities.
o Assist in analyzing financial and subscriber data and developing strategies to meet the subscriber and revenue projections.
o Work closely with Asian advertising agencies to develop advertising campaigns and track results against project goals, budget and timeline.
o Partner with International Acquisition and Retention teams to implement marketing programs for sales support and customer care. Manage other interdepartmental activities to ensure efficiency and productivity.
o Serve as primary contact for day-to-day operations and maintaining relationship with channel providers.
Qualifications include:
o Knowledge of the Asian and US television markets.
o Multicultural marketing/advertising experience in Asian American markets required.
o Fluency in English and Asian language required.
o Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field preferred; basic financial understanding required.
o Experience in satellite or cable industry or relevant experience preferred.
o Ability to handle several projects simultaneously and measure results.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Proficiency in Word, Power Point, and Excel.
