US New Energy company in Suzhou is looking for:
R&D Manager
Report to: General Manager
Functionally Report to: Technical Director
Subordinates: R&D Technician, R&D Chemist, Sr. Lab Chemist, Sr. / R&D Scientist
Responsibilities:
Directs the work of the R&D group in Suzhou maintaining close contact with the US R&D team and technical service team and keeping current on current technical progress in the market as well as future trends.
Makes sure the laboratory is developing and delivering samples, new technology safely and efficiently.
Develop new materials (salts, additives, solvents )
Lead the R&D team and R&D projects including project evaluations, follow-ups and reviews
Communicate and cooperate with US R&D team
Manage the R&D lab and make sure the efficiency and safety
Raw material qualification (new materials, new suppliers) and specification validation
Instruct MSDS preparation / approval: raw materials & products
Instruct battery testing: evaluation of new formulations / materials
Qualifications:
At least 5 years hands on experience in the battery industry with a Master of Science degree (PhD is preferred) in Chemistry or Materials Science.
Be able to clearly communicate with customers and have excellent presentation skills in order to participate in industry events.
Have demonstrated leadership experience in leading a technical team and be a process thinker.
Ability to speak read and write English is a requirement.
