POSITION SCOPE

Reporting to the CEO, this executive will function as a key member of the senior management team, and be the principal strategist in charting the direction of OEM channel relationships in the PRC, China. Working side-by-side with the key executives in product management, engineering, marketing, this person will be responsible for developing relationship between the company and its major OEM partners, and ensuring that the OEM channel in China maintains a clear voice in the company’s product planning activities. Ultimately, the measure of this executive’s success is the growth of the OEM channel in China.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet corporate objectives worldwide. This executive will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategy for generating revenue streams from OEM and in the future Retail and Distribution channels. This will include market analyses to determine customer needs and pricing strategic.

2. Lead a OEM sales organization. This executive will need to continuously broaden and deepen the competencies and capabilities of sales teams in China. This person will lead and mentor a team to ensure accountability for results that maximize their contribution to the company’s business objectives and direct sales development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, performance metrics, quotas and objectives. This person will be responsible for all budgets, expenditures and appropriations related to sales activity.

3. Managing OEM and channel partner relationships. This executive will be responsible for managing the company’s key OEM and channel partners in China. This person will need to evaluate the company’s existing relationships, and develop OEM and channel partner strategy frameworks going forward that ensure continued leadership in the growing arena of digital content management as well as The company’s core technology. A priority will be to strengthen, nurture and broaden the company’s strategic partnerships in China. This will involve being proactive thought leadership in creating unique value propositions and products for key industry OEM and channel partners and implementing channel strategies and programs to exploit future growth opportunities.

4. Define product strategy for key OEMs and channel partners, working in conjunction with Product Management and Engineering teams. This executive will be the “voice” or champion for the OEMs and channel partners. Responsible for identifying, understanding, prioritizing and articulating the needs of the OEM and channel partners, be they product feature enhancements, new products, or different partnership structures that enhance The company’s position with the OEMs and channel partners and make them more effective in their delivery of the company’s products. He/she will need to work intimately with the key executives in Product Management, Engineering and Business Development.

5. Develop and manage relationships with key internal and external partners. This executive will be the primary the company representative to the OEM and channel partners in China. He/she will be the focal point for information flow from the OEM and channel partners into the functional areas of the company, whether with the Product Management group for key inputs to the product roadmap, input to the Business Development group on the continual evaluation of product/technology acquisition options, with Engineering on product development schedules, with Strategic Marketing on consumer feedback and requirements, or with finance on deal structures.

IDEAL PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

This candidate will have 10 or more years of experience in managing sales teams to ensure the effectiveness of this channel. This individual should possess an outstanding track record of success in developing long-standing relationships in an OEM account at the highest levels and with key individuals throughout the account. The successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial fire and an affinity for technology-based solutions. Necessary is a strong work ethic, high energy level, and a “hands on” approach to get things done. The candidate must have experiences building businesses in highly competitive and fast-paced environments where creative plans and strategies, flexibility and adaptability enabled success. This person will be expected to function as a critical business partner to other executive team members in the role of a key decision maker.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following competencies and experiences:

• Strategic partnering and negotiation skills. The candidate brings a track record of envisioning the value of partnerships/alliances and successfully leading discussions and negotiations. He/she should bring the business acumen for structuring partnerships and addressing the major strategic and financial aspects. Recognizing the strategic and business agendas of potential partners, he/she has a history of finding creative approaches to negotiations and solving complex issues among demanding parties to achieve “win-win” outcomes. He/She has outstanding relationship-building capabilities, and is comfortable managing company and business partner expectations.

• Strategic mindset combined with strong analytics and technology depth: He/She has a track record of success in synthesizing market information. In particular, this executive has effectively defined the appropriate product strategies that will focus on deepening key OEM relationships. This executive must be able to influence and persuade business partners of the merits of the company, its vision and impact. The successful candidate must be able to deal effectively along the lines of product technology and technological implications
