通知:9月24日起中国商务签证放开。

We have been informed that effective September 24, 2008, Business (F) Visa applicants are NO longer required to obtain the Authorized Notification Form for Visa Application from the local Chinese government.

Hotel and plane ticket reservations are also no longer required for such applications.

However, an invitation letter from your Chinese counterparts is now required once more.

Thus, current Business (F) Visa requirements are:

1. Passport

2. One completed and signed Chinese Visa Application Form (Please note: it is crucial that F Visa applicants complete every section of the application form; otherwise, there may be a delay in processing.)

3. One standard color passport photo

4. One invitation letter

Additionally, the Chinese Consulate will begin issuing One-Year Multiple Entry Visas to China on a case-by-case basis. The criteria will consist of the specific situation of each applicant and the number of their previous visas to China, particularly their previous One-Year Multiple Entry Visas.
Tourist (L) Visa processing has also changed; hotel and plane ticket reservations are no longer needed.

Thus, current Tourist (L) Visa requirements are:
1. Passport

2. One completed and signed Chinese Visa Application Form (Please note: it is crucial that applicants complete every section of the application form, with the exception of sections 4.7 to 4.10; otherwise, there may be a delay in processing.)

3. One standard color passport photo

Please note that based on our past experience these policies have changed and become effective immediately from time to time without prior notice and without any transitional period. If you do plan to travel in the near future, please act early and allow sufficient time for processing.
