while i was in china, i heard the first class business players create companies, establish brand names in an industry in real short cycle span, before sell it to others, and then replicate the same scheme again: one success after another...
then back in the early 90's, i owned and operated a trade journal in china. i was looking for a way to syndicate it in US market...so i contacted the the publisher of PC magazine...he told me he already got china. we talked and he told me he did several publications. then i realized i was talking to one those rare talents: he created several publications all in the same industry with slightly different angles. he sold them all but non competining against each other, he kept setting up and kept selling...darn, right away i knew who i would look up to (typically i don't easily get into that)
while others measure success of a biz man in how much asset he is sitting over, i measure real player by his capacity and capability to walk into a forum, create and define the biz on his terms, replicate one after another: that shows he has the capability to overcome whatever gets in his way. the guy has a damn way to get what he wants. does not seem like he needed much luck or blessings by others, he will always get what he wants....
now that is a challenge for anyone who's got balls and the brain i would rate with a FUCKING A PLUS
