General objectives of the APJ Architecture COE
• Primary responsibility of the team is to implement a standard architecture in APJ
1）Deploy the standard EDW Architecture Model for APJ, specifically in GCA.
2）Improve the standard of Architecture in Areas and within the PS and Sales associates in APJ
3）Develop and execute training programs for PS and Sales associates as appropriate in all Areas on a standard EDW architecture,
4）Review SOW’s, project schedules, architecture to ensure adherence and achievability and approve or reject proposals relating to architecture.
• The role comes with a significant post sales level of project work.
• Assist in pre-sales activities with regards to such areas as EDW Architecture to display the thought leadership and capability of Teradata
• Liaise closely with the engineering team to capture changes in direction and features that may impact or allow improvement in the standard architecture. Then as needed to run corrective practices in the field or capture information for our internal developers.
• Liaise closely with the APJ Area PS Practice Partners to ensure that the PS Associates are focused on supporting the architecture
• Liaise with other Architecture Centers of Excellence in other Regions to gain insights and improve APJ architecture capabilities.
• Directly through the activities of the Center of Excellence, reduce errors in projects, drive more efficiency and consistency in design and improve profitability of projects
• Assist in the identification and development of NEW revenue opportunities in terms of service offerings for APJ PS.
Experience Prerequisites (For Recruiting Purposes)
Years Experience：5 years experience in implementing EDW within a Teradata environment, >15 years experience implementing information technology solutions
Previous WorkExperience: Solution Architect, Data Architect or similar and Senior consultant and team leader roles over time.
Preferred ProfessionalCertification: N/A
Technology Experience: Background or experience in developing architectures
Teradata Experience mandatory.
Work Orientation Factors
• The role will require up to 30% of travel within the APJ region out of primary AREA.
• APJ and Japan includes India, SEA, Australia and NZ, Greater China and Japan
• The applicant could be based anywhere suitable within China, and will have primary responsibility for GCA.
