Erin Cressida Wilson 是去年11月上映的电影“Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus“的剧作家(导演为Steven Shainberg)。俩人合作过的Secretary2002年被提名金球奖。
今天早上在咖啡店一面munching butter croissant(freshly baked) ,一边翻开这一期的杂志“sc<x>ript". 看到Erin Cressida Wilson 的电影剧本创作建议
抄写如下:
• Only write about what you most love, what most inspires you, or else you'll be tortured and unhappy
• Don’t necessarily write about what you know. Write about you don’t know. About what most intrigues you.
• Make a list of everything you remember from childhood.
• then a list of everything you don’t remember
• Write down every single thing you won’t in your film. Then try and see, if by rearranging them, they create a story.
• Surround yourself with books that you love
.
• Decorate your house in a way that inspires you to write
• Surround your heart with steel to protect you from anybody that doubts you, including yourself.
• When in doubt , sit down and write
• Draw what you’re trying to write
• Create storyboards
• Don’t consider yourself a write; consider yourself a director, and paint the entire picture of what you want your screenplay to be on the page.
• Write your screenplays in several forms: a short play, a poem, a drawing, an interior monologue. Don’t just work in treatments and outlines.
• Consider every window in your house to be a proscenium stage, and every image you see outside, a drama.
• Put a ring on your forefinger so that you have something to look at while you type.
• Remember a secret your mother told you.
• Buy tiny drawers and fill them with ideas on small pieces of paper.
• Challenge yourself to write novel in one day. Then circle only the passages and keep them in your pocket to gestate.
• Go online and print out pictures form the Picture Collection at the Mid-Manhattan Library’s web site.
• Take a walk and get lost.
• Write a poem in four minutes
• Tell a secrete you’ve never told
• Write clichés. Clichés are clichés because they work.
• Nurture the rewrite. If you can’t stick with the rewriting process, get out of writing.
• Consider writer’s block not as a block, but as a stillness and gestation of ideas waiting to pour out.
• Put your hand into a pretend bowl of ideas.
• Hang up plots in your closet and collect then.
• Watch 10 movies in a row
• Have a private film festival: Know and love the medium.
• If you can’t stop thinking about other things, take a bath before writing. It will lower your blood pressure and let your mind free.
• Don’t go on the internet too much
• Travel alone.
• Open the window in the middle of winter.
• Don’t read the newspaper for a year
• If you’re a woman, don’t compare your career to men’s careers.
• Keep a box of all your old notebooks.
• Love your pens
• Make your own Mad Libs.
• Never show an idiot an unfinished piece of writing.
• Never expect anybody to see that in your first daft, you’ve accomplished xyz. They will only see what you did not accomplish.
• Get o know the whole business. Direct a short film. Take an acting class. Act in a film. Produce a film.
* 最后一条:如果你看到以上建议,because someone hand-typed it. 请说"谢谢,你的croissant我买单“
