1.1 Develop work briefs with Manufacturing & Logistics, Project Leaders and the Hardware Development team to clearly outline the objectives of projects
1.2 Consult with key stakeholders to gather technical requirements and support the development of the implementation strategy needed to manage the procurement and manufacturing processes
1.3 Source and deliver cost estimates from global manufacturers assisting procurement and manufacturing including hardware, plastics, print and packaging
1.4 Investigate and recommend alternative sources of supply for key materials and maintain an up-to-date list of preferred suppliers for all products
1.5 Review economies of purchase and seek out alternative options to support redundancy and reduce costs, improving quality and delivery standards matching Altium’s business model requirements
1.6 Ensure all communications are accurate and pass through appropriate approval channels
1.7 Place approved orders ensuring meeting of expectation regarding desired quality, quantity, delivery and other factors
1.8 Record all working details, including schedules, costs and delivery expectations
1.9 Ensure procured goods ordered are delivered in accordance with specifications
1.10 Manage any issues relating to quality, delivery and invoicing
1.11 Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the company’s production
2.1Develop an understanding of Altium’s supplier relationships
2.2Engage and build relationships with Altium’s current and potential suppliers
2.3Engage daily communications with key stakeholders
2.4Manage and nurture supplier relationships
2.5Seek out new supply relationship opportunities
2.6Evaluate suppliers to ensure they are suitable to meet the needs of Altium
2.7Perform background reviews on suppliers both existing and potential ensuring certainty of quality and supply
2.8Communicate and record accurate details of all requirements and associated information audit trails
2.9Source and deliver cost estimates for required product/marketing/component needs
2.10 Deliver accurate reporting of costs and supplier performance
2.11 Ensure Altium’s supply needs particularly in relation to product/component quality are met and manage cost control, matching individual budget forecasts
2.12 Manage costs measured against budgets associated with each and every brief/project to achieve maximum value from the budget
2.13 Maintain communication with suppliers ensuring Altium’s supply schedules are on time and improved where possible
2.14 Maintain supply chain flow, working to the scope of supply, determined through negotiated outcomes of both internal and external supply needs and their limitations
2.15 Communicate requirements and assist where necessary to arrange for product components to be delivered on time to appropriate venues for completion or assembly (and delivery of finished goods)
2.16 Record, analyse and prioritise information, including technical and financial data, identifying the critical issues and moving projects and co-workers in the right direction
2.17 Ensure procurement cycles, processes, agreed budgets, quality standards and delivery schedules are met
2.18 Oversee the recording and management of stock levels submitting all recorded inventory requirements.
2.19 Drive solutions to bottlenecks of supply, forward planning, smooth price estimates and meeting the goals for delivering “Just in Time” (JIT) outcomes
3.1Work effectively with the Manufacturing & Logistics team assisting with developing supply solutions and strategies, and establishing inventory safeguards
3.2Familiarize and assist with various peripheral functions indirectly associated with Electronics production control such as assisting with print, packaging and fulfillment activities when required
3.3 Improve systems and processes to deliver greater efficiency and effectiveness of service for Altium and its’ customers
3.4 Ensure activites comply with relevant government Acts and statuatory regulations
3.5 Manage, advise and inform all information pertaining to local government changes impacting supply management.
3.6Complete other tasks as required by the Director, Manufacturing & Logistics
