对于陈美急速攀升的人气很多人包括音乐人都很嫉妒，有人说她演奏的音乐不好。但事实无法否认，陈美的CD在全球的巨大销量应该会使那些不能凭自己本事取得成功的同行们闭嘴！说风凉话的同行最好自己先取得成功后再评判别人的不是。
陈美对古典作曲家如巴赫等的作品的诠释具有独特性、创新性和唯一性，甚至将这些大师们的作品给于全新的演绎。本人认为这完全正常。那些认为只能用一种方法来解释大师的作品的人是荒谬的。一个真正有实力的音乐人，应该能够接受新的东西而不是因循守旧。只有那些没有主见、缺乏talent的乐手才只会照葫芦画瓢。
虽然陈的作品很多取材于古典乐，但并非完全是古典乐，而是取古典的基调加入现代元素。普通大众因而认识到原来古典音乐也可以这么好听！这难道不是一件好事吗？

我的最爱：violinists Paganini, Vieuxtemps, Kreisler, Heifetz, Gidon Kremer, Perlman, not Stern, sorry no Yehudi Menuhin.
There are few young female soloists who I like are Sarah Chang, Jennifer Koh, there is one from Chicago and the other from Toronta, I believe. Sorry forget their names.
小陈对我来说，是对牛拉琴！我一下买了４张她的光盘，看了半张，实在受不了。可能我对小陈高标准，严要求了，comparing her with other well-known soloists.
To me she is not a well-trained soloist; she overdoes her body movements. She is a half musician and half sex symbol, period.
To whom it may concern: this is only my humble opinion.
