I didn't watch the opera. But in general, I don't encourage
this kind of great-love.
Sarcrificing your own life for the sake of another person, that's
usually in the novel. I hope this kind of thing happens fewer.
I'm glad that in your article, that fewer chinese ladies do
that nowadays.
Everyone's life is equally precious. If you think your life is
worth less, that's your own fault (in some way, torturing yourself.)
You can always fake it in the name of love.
Only when you love yourself, people will love you. I always feel
sorry for the young people committing suicide because of lost-love.
What a waste of life. The reason you want to kill yourself is the
reason why you lose your loved one. You don't love youself enough or
you can't make yourself lovable enough, or you just can't get it.
(Nothing wrong with you, just the dream too far away.)
(I don't mean you shouldn't do things for your loved one. Just
don't go to extreme. And Chinese culture tend to encourage extreme
behaviour. Love your own life since life is short. )
