I put up an ads to go to Yabuli for ski during the Christmas period. We had collected about 10 people going there from different cities inclding HK. It turned out the Yabuli is the worst nightmare for any skier. The place is over-priced, the facility is extremly mis-managed, and the sik runways are way, way under-maintained.
Everywhere you go, you see the word "cheap" written in very place in every people you met. They want money, but they do not deliver any reasonable services. They seems to be only interested in seperating your money from you, while forgetting they should same time providing at least some service.
The room (they could charge as much as 1,000 RMB per might) are dirty, smelly old and our of repair. They only provide "hot-water" up to 10:30pm. And next morning, you have to let the hot water run about 30 minutes before any hot water coming out of the faucet. The run way was frozen to ice, yet the Yabuli people did not send the ice-softing equipment to soft the ice, because the "truck" was broken. But they could rent one for a few thousant RMB, they refused to do that. We fell hard on ice and and Yabuli fell really hard in our heart. The biggest nightmare was there restroom. There are bugs, worms everywhere. And you can hardly set your foot into the disgusting room. That two rest seemed to be out of cleaning at least for two years. Shirty place with full of shit.
I do not recommend anyone to go there. You will spend a lot of money to get nothing but nightmare and disappointment.
Most people in our group cut our trip short and ran like a rabitt when leaving that place.
