Job Description- Director, Antibody Engineering Department
Shanghai Newbio Therapeutic Inc (NBT) is currently seeking a talented and innovative Director, Antibody Engineering to join our newly formed biotech company located at Shanghai Zhangjiang Pharma Valley in China.
As a Director of Antibody Engineering, you will be responsible for providing experienced organizational, technological, and scientific leadership in the antibody engineering process. Using state of art technology make major contributions to the generation of best-in-class and first-in-class antibody therapeutics to address major unmet medical needs.
Responsibilities:
Provide scientific, technical, organizational leadership for Antibody Engineering, group in support of research goals established for NBT; Assist in defining company strategy.
Responsibility for Antibody Engineering activities including making human and mouse antibody constructs; expressing recombinated antibody; working very closely with Antibody Department.
Recruit, retain, and develop high quality staff; Manage performance of direct and indirect reports
Desired Skills & Experience
Requires intensive experience in management responsibility and the development of antibody therapeutics in a drug discovery setting.
Requires broad and thorough knowledge of the immunology, molecular biology and biochemistry aspects of antibody engineering.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively by oral presentation, written technical reports, and scientific publications.
Requires the ability to manage all aspects of the design, engineering, and generation of mouse and human antibodies. PhD and postdoctoral experience in immunology, biochemistry, molecular biology or related discipline.
