中国网络公司可在美筹资10亿美元

通过赴美国科技市场纳斯达克上市，中国各大互联网公司可在年底前筹集超过10亿美元资金，尽管近期在美上市的中国公司业绩欠佳。《金融时报》获知，旅行网站忆龙(e-Long)、互联网招聘集团前程无忧(51job.com)以及网上游戏公司第九城市(The9)已任命上市顾问来操作首次公开上市，分别筹资至少1亿美元。
这些公司加入了申请在美上市公司的行列，如互联网游戏制作商盛大网络(Shanda Networks)和即时消息服务提供商腾讯(Tencent)。这两家公司的目标都是筹资2.5亿至3亿美元。另一家即时消息服务提供商美通(Mtone)的目标是筹资1亿美元，而互联网设备制造商港湾网络(Harbour Networks)打算筹资4亿美元。据悉，高盛(Goldman Sachs)拥有股权的门户网站阿里巴巴(Alibaba)和移动信息服务提供商华友(Hurray)也在考虑上市。
美国投资者最近几个月抛弃了中国的科技股，因而导致的负面市场人气可能会令这些上市计划受阻。由于市场担心估价和公司治理状况，网易(Netease.com)已从去年触及的72美元高点下跌30%。网易是在纳斯达克上市的中国三家门户网站之一。
“由于美国投资者的投资兴趣正在减退，将新一波中国公司挂牌上市可能很困难，”参与其中一家公司上市的某投资银行家说。
但分析师表示，这些公司的上市将为国际投资者提供一个机会，进入中国快速增长的互联网市场。他们指出，网上旅行代理商携程(Ctrip)就是一例。携程目前的股价比去年12月的上市价高出55美分。
摩根士丹利(Morgan Stanley)分析师玛丽•米克(Mary Meeker)在上周的一份报告中表示，5年内中国有可能超过美国，成为全球最大的互联网市场。“我们对这一前景表示乐观，因为互联网应能在帮助中国经济发展过程中扮演角色，”她写道。

Chinese dotcoms seek $1bn in US listings

Chinese internet companies could raise more than $1bn by the end of the year from listing on Nasdaq, the US technology market, in spite of recent poor performances by China's US-listed technology stocks.
The Financial Times has learnt that eLong, a travel site, 51job.com, an internet recruitment group, and The9, an online gaming company, have appointed advisers to carry out initial public offerings worth at least $100m each.
They join candidates such as Shanda Networks, an internet games producer, and Tencent, an instant messaging provider, which aim to raise $250m-$300m each. Mtone, another instant messaging provider, is seeking to raise $100m and Harbour Networks, an internet equipment maker, will try to raise up to $400m.
Others such as the portal Alibaba, in which Goldman Sachs has a stake, and the mobile messaging provider Hurray are also believed to be considering flotations.
The plans could be hindered by negative sentiment from US investors, who have spurned Chinese technology companies in recent months. Shares in Netease.com, one of three Nasdaq-listed Chinese portals, have fallen 30 per cent from the $72 high touched last year, amid fears over its valuation and corporate governance.
Linktone, which provides ring tones, games and other services to mobile phone users, is trading 30 per cent below its IPO price after listing in March. Shares in Tom Online, the China-based internet group, are also below the listing price.
"It might be difficult to list this new wave of Chinese companies, as appetite from US investors is waning," said an investment banker involved in one of the listings. However, analysts said the IPOs would offer international investors the chance to tap into China's rapidly-growing internet market. They point to the online travel agent Ctrip, whose shares are 55 per cent above the price of its December listing.
In a report published last week Mary Meeker, Morgan Stanley analyst, said China could overtake the US as the world's largest internet market within five years.
"We are enthusiastic about the outlook because of the role the internet should play in helping the Chinese economy develop," she wrote. ELong is believed to have appointed Credit Suisse First Boston to arrange an IPO that could raise about $100m.
