Publishing Support Coordinator (北京市)

Reporting to the Publishing Support Manager, you will manage the flow and filtering of Chinese scientific input to key journals and maintain effective relationships with key contacts as well as good quality control and maintenance of statistics. Other role and responsibilities include:
Managing flow of papers arising from Chinese authors to ensure standard transparent flow through processes without
delays.
Interact appropriately with associate editors in China and key editors internationally to support process flow.
Adapt and interface with developments of Elsevier support systems especially those related to electronic submission
such as EES.
Carry out primary filtering of Chinese papers according to level of English and scientific content
Maintain statistics overall and help support quality review process of filtering effectiveness
Qualifications/Requirements:
Strong scientific or engineering background preferably a postgraduate level in chemistry subject area with experience
of authoring papers in English.
Strong communication skills to deal diplomatically but strictly supporting company procedures and policies in supporting external contacts such as associate editors and editors in chief as well as dealing effectively with
internal staff worldwide when required.
Strong English language training both orally and in written form.
High levels of competence required to differentiate unclear or incompetent levels of expression from normal standard of scientific English internationally
Familiarity with publishing processes/scientific publishing(preferred)
IT skills especially word processing (Word) and Internet/e-mail (Outlook and Explorer)
