Summary
1. Risk assessment: assist the underwriter of the client to understand and judge the risks during the underwriting process by evaluating the probability and frequency of the risk event occurring, the potential impact of such losses and the potential variation in losses;
2. Risk advisory and loss prevention service for distribution channels when required;
3. Other engineering or technical job assigned by the GM;
4. Develop unbundled risk engineering business for the company;
Specific Functions and Principle of Accountabilities
List the specific functions that must be performed in order to fulfill the purpose of the position as described above.
A. Visiting the risk site, obtaining the necessary information including the hardcopies and/or e-version and/or by digital records, asking right questions to understand the situation of the risk and/or the loss occurred.
B. Prepare the report in writing either in Chinese or English to describe the risk and/ the loss circumstances ba<x>sed on my client's standard;
C. The report must be prepared in standard format, which contains all information for risk/loss analyzing, evaluating and loss prevention proposals if necessary.
D. The incumbent performs to build confidence and respect of the (potential) client to the company with the professional know-how and qualification in service
E. Coordinate with the underwriters concerning the insurance cover, background information of the client, claims history, etc. to secure right approach and proper handling of the risk survey.
F. Maintaining good/healthy relationship with business partners such as legal institution, local broker/agents firms.
G. Responsible for maintaining and improving high level of service standard
H. Co-operate with the clients for risk management education activities including preparing presentation, training & follow up;
I. Selling and promoting the tools and know-how of the risk engineering to the Chinese markets;

A. Incumbent receives general supervision of the General Manager;
B. Incumbent follows company rules and policies set for business conductions;
C. Performance review on annual basis.
Specialized knowledge/Skills
Describe any specialized knowledge/ skills (e.g. technical, scientific, administrative) that this position requires.
• 3 years working experience in the risk engineering activities;
• Communication and reasoning skills;
• Open-minded and committed to the best interested of the company;
• Technical Know-how for carry out the duties;
• High personal integrity and strong commitment to ethical behavior;
• Fluent in both writing and speaking English.

Briefly describes a few of the most complex problems encountered in achieving this position’s primary function.
• Incumbent must be able to strive for quality technical activities as well as sales & promotion activities ;
