The first thing we need to discuss is the rise of China. It’s certainly making the press these days. People seem to understand something is happening in China. But most people are not fully aware of the full breadth and depth what is happening in China. In fact, most people in China do not understand the historic implications what is going on.
China is next great country in the world whether we like it or not. A lot of people do not like the rise of China. The 19th century was the century of the UK.
The 20th century was the century of US. The 21st century is going to be the century of China. Now I know they call themselves communists in China. But let me tell you, they are among the best capitalists in the world right now. I know pretty of people who will tell you they are indeed best capitalists in the world as we stand here in 2008.
In China they save to invest over 35% of their income. And in America we save to invest less 2% of our income. In China when they come to work, they do not say how many days holiday do I get. They say how many days can I come to work. They know how we live in west. They want live in that way too. They’re willing to save to invest as much as they have to. They’re willing to work as hard as they have to, because they want to live in this way again.
China has many recurring(recovery) periods, well, three or four recurring(recovery) periods of greatness in their history. They also have recurring(recovery )periods of disasters in their history. In 1978, by 1978, China had been declined for 300 years. Deng xiaoping said we'd got to try something new. The young leaders started the capitalism again.
And it worked. It has changed the world we have known already. The change is going to be even more dramatic in the rest of the 21 century. They’ll get to be setbacks along the way.
Do not think I’m so naive. There would be pretty many setbacks. The America had horrible setbacks as we rose to power.请大家从2分17秒处继续听写
