The Role:
We are currently looking for a talented linguist to join our culturally-diverse Research and Development team, who are on a mission to develop the next generation of technology and products for language assessment and learning. We welcome candidates who are motivated, creative and enthusiastic about what they do to apply for this position.
职位描述：
作为核心技术部的成员，你的主要职责如下：
1. 从语言专家的角度来引导技术团队开发，与语音工程师一起为语音评分建立并改进语音分析的演算公式；
2. 收集、处理与管理用于技术研发的语言数据：包括转录、注解及鉴定从各种不同的渠道得到的录音记录与文章；设计与实施评估实验；管理内部与外部的资料提供者及合作伙伴；
3. 带领课程开发团队使用先进的技术，以便于更好的开发出促进语言学习的产品。
Job Description:
As a member of the core technology team, you will:
1. Guide technology development from a language expert's point of view, working with speech engineers to invent and improve speech analysis algorithms for speech and language assessment and scoring.
2. Collect, process and manage linguistic data for the purpose of technology development. Transcribe, annotate and validate recordings and data in text collected from various sources. Design and conduct evaluation experiments. Manage data from internal and external contributors and partners.
3. Guide curriculum development team to use technologies that we have developed for the purpose of language learning.
职位要求：
1. 语言学专业硕士/博士学历，或在相关领域拥有一定的学术成就；
2. 拥有丰富的中英文语言知识；
3. 在以下各项领域中至少具备一项专业技能；
- 语音学
- 第二语言习得
- 语言评测
4. 有英语教学经验者优先；
5. 有项目管理经验者优先；
6. 有一定编程能力者优先；
7. 熟悉语音技术者优先。
Job Requirements:
1. MS or PhD in linguistics or related discipline with significant academic achievements.
2. Excellent communication skills in written and oral English and Mandarin.
3. Expertise in at least one of the following domains:
- Phonetics
- Second language acquisition
- Language assessment
4. Experience with English language teaching and project management are highly desirable, but not essential.
5. Coding skills and experience with speech technology will be helpful, but not essential.
