Summary
Manage a business operation of selling software and providing services to the PRC markets. Require strong leadership to build up a team of 10+ sales forces and establish a well-connected channel partner community to achieve the company's sales forecast and business growth.
Job Purpose/Scope
Architects cohesive and integrated channel/market/industry strategies to effectively achieve profitable sales forecast. Co-ordinates with departments and directs the activities of sales and systems engineering staff to capture business opportunities and markets for the Company.
The GM has fully responsible for P&L and customer satisfaction of the Company.
Major Activities/Responsibilities
Directs the activities of a group of dealers, sales managers, engineer to achieve bookings and revenue for the Company.
Knowledge in the security software and solution market, ability to develop and expand the product/solution offerings to meet market demand
Develops channels strategies. Monitors and reports on the performance of dealers and distribution channels.
Devises the goal setting processes and procedures for establishing revenue and bookings quotas for the team.
Designs compensation plans, reward systems, and competitions to attract, retain and motivate sales and systems engineering staff.
Monitors sales, discount allowance, and expense performance; initiates corrective action where necessary.
Co-ordinates the gathering of marketing intelligence covering competitors’ products and sales strategies.
Closely work with the R&D team to further improve the product functions and features to follow the market trend
Develops long and medium range planning for the Sales Function.
Negotiate major deals and maintains key customer contracts at senior levels to evaluate and maintain growth and satisfaction.
Prepares budgets and forecasts, regularly reports actual performance to budget, with variance analyses and revised projections.
Participates with other directors in developing and establishing company-wide policies.
Recruit, train, develop and motivate staff; plans, schedules, supervises and reviews work of staff.
Educates staff about the Company’s values and spirit.
Decision/Impact
Make final decisions on administrative and operational matters affecting assigned functions. Decision making on significant effect on the success, failure, profitability or overall long-term objective of assigned functions as we successful integration of functional activities with those of other divisions. Makes decisions and influences senior management regarding important issues affecting activities of multiple functions or organizations.
External/Internal Interface
Advanced ability to effectively interface and co-ordinate work with internal departments, external customers, channel partners, resellers, industry leaders, and government officials at the senior levels.
Job involves contract requiring diplomacy, resourcefulness; excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and negotiation skills; and a thorough understanding of the Company’s business and operational philosophy and strategy.
Supervision Received/Given
Act independently, restricted only by very broad policy and object-oriented guidance.
Accomplish results through middle/senior managers or strategic partners. Determines actual organizational and allocation of sub-managerial responsibilities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferred) in Computer Science, Engineering or Business and 12-15 years of sales/marketing experience in the computer industry, 5 of which must be at a senior level, r an equivalent of education and related experience.
He / she has the ability to develop and implement sound architectural and distribution strategies.
Must have business/financial/technical acumen and ability to negotiate complex sales at senior levels. Provide knowledge, planning, administration and motivational and persuasive skills are very important.
