Responsibilities/duties:
• Manage existing touch customers in conjunction with sales
• Win new Touch and MCU projects and customers
• Understand Touch and MCU applications and solutions
• Manage complex Touch and MCU projects
• Report to Tactical Marketing Director on a weekly basis activities in region
• Advise on competitor activity in region
• Implement strategic pricing policies
• Manage local pricing requests
• Ensure distributors are trained to correct levels and feedback accordingly
• Ensure coherent & professional communication with customer peer groups
• Disseminate technical information & inputs from customers as appropriate
• Support existing products
• Meeting customers on and off site as required
• Adhere to all prevalent company design rules (h/w & s/w) and QA guidelines
• Propose options for new product development resulting from customer feedback and
requests
• To acquire in-depth knowledge of relevant Atmel products and their relative applications
• Participate in team design reviews as appropriate
• Other duties as and when assigned
Requirements
Position/Skill Requirements:
7 to 15 years field Sales, field application or Marketing experience
Must have the ability to communicate effectively with multi-levels of internal and external interfaces
Required regular travel national and international
Able to conduct a first phase technical suggestion for product design/defective analysis at
customer
Capacitive touch applications experience
Microcontroller application experience
A ‘hands-on’ problem solver
Experienced in customer and account management
