Distribution Manager



Our client is a German industrial company who has strategic plans for Chinese market. Due to their increased activities in China Region, an opportunity has now arisen for the role of Distribution Manager – Norma China Region, to take the responsibilities for further developing the general industrial markets through strategic dealing development, management and effective accounts management.



Job Summary:

 Responsible for profitable sales growth and results of company’s products within general industries, through proactive sales and effective key accounts management activities in line the Group's organizational and process demands;

 Work on short term and long term plans to grow the business and to ensure penetration of the existing and potential business within the industries;

 Perform a high level of service capabilities in delivering the better solutions and results for the parts markets and clients service

 Work actively within the China organization by close corporation with other departments to ensure the company to achieve the corporate and local mission and targets.



Key Job Characteristics:

 Responsible for the development of overall Chinese sales strategy in line with the Group's sales processes within general industries;

 Oversee and manage preparation of annually and monthly sales plan, forecast and budget based on the company goal set by the top management;

 Build up, lead and manage sales team to implement company’s sales plan to ensure, achieve and exceed the goal on sales volume, market share, and gross margin;

 Visit key customers with sales team representatives as necessary, and manage the collection and dissemination of appropriate market information to company and its affiliates. Manage the creation and retention the sales opportunities for company;

 Management, maintenance and development of effective dealing systems to better performance;

 Responsible for the after sales markets;

 Develop new market in terms of segment and geography;

 Review and manage accounts receivable to minimize risks;

 Feedback customer requirements and market requirements for new product development;

 Prepare monthly report in line with Group's principles;

 Actively participate and support value controlling in pricing;

 Creates and conducts training programs and promotional programs for the products;

 Keeps informed on competitive products, pricing and new product development;

 Create and support strong communication lines between Customers and the company on engineering communication of any engineering request and information for a better solution to meet customers’ demand;

 Oversee proper creation and maintenance of customer information and provide company the market analysis reports on a timely basis;

 Providing information on China Industry for management analysis and review. Competition information collection and analysis;

 Develop, analyze and control monthly and annual departmental expense budgets.



Accountability:

 Design revenue and billing revenue of assigned territories in China.



Authority:

 Make recommendations for any personnel actions. Have management responsibilities.



Job Knowledge, Skills & Experiences:

 At least 10 years experience in the industrial component field with 5 years managerial level in an international (European or American) environment;

 Recent proven successful records on new business development and key accounts managements;

 Experiences in dealers management and channel sales.

 Mature working styles in providing effective clients services;

 Have extensive knowledge of businesses in a number of different industries.

 Have good communications skills in Mandarin and English;

 Have in depth project management knowledge and experience;

 Have good interpersonal skills and extensive knowledge in every aspect of doing business in China;



Qualifications and Personalities:

 Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent, with advanced training in business.

 Mature, can work on strategic and operational level.

 True self-starter with the ability to work towards goals.

 Be able to effect changes in the organization efficiently.

 Maintain a high degree of professionalism when dealing with customers and fellow Associates.
