3M CDC Active Position Job Description

JAVA Support Engineer

Job Description：

Specific Responsibilities:

- Technical proficiency and attention to quality of work in performing production application/IT support

- Customer focused with the ability to communicate via email or phone to clients on a daily basis

- Proactively identify risks, troubleshoot incidents, resolve issues, and delegate (when required) to the corresponding business/IT groups within the target environment.

- Coordinate with business and IT teams to ensure all the systems are well maintained and stabilized

- Perform application support, in a 24/7 (only required to monitor the support database during US business hours, but could be paged for critical issues) on-call production environment, on a scheduled basis

Personal Characteristics:

- Professional, friendly and courteous in all interactions, whether with co-workers or clients

- Remain calm even under pressure and perform well in a busy environment

- Demonstrate an overall business approach that is both customer and results-oriented

- Team player and adaptable to a changing environment

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Strong problem-solving skills

Qualifications:

- University degree or college / information technology institute diploma in related discipline

- 2+ years of experience in developing J2EE applications

- SQL skills and database knowledge

- Good understanding of IBM WebSphere, SQL Server, Java EE principle as well as basic knowledge of networks and infrastructure

- Good English -- written and oral
