General Manager
This is a challenging leadership opportunity to join an established American/PRC Joint Venture – a successful market leader in Hebei, China, specializing in the manufacture of a world-class quality product which is exported to Group subsidiaries around the word.
A planned alignment programme is underway and the JV, employing over 700 employees, wishes to appoint an exceptional General Manager with a proven track record in change management, to lead the further development of this strategically important JV.
The Role
•Reporting to the Regional Operations Director, you will be responsible for leading the site to achieve world-class manufacturing standards and operational excellence and to create a “Quality Business Culture” based on continuous improvement and high achievement of Key Performance Indicators in line with the American parent company.
•Supported by a strong technical team, this hands-on, autonomous role with P&L responsibility for the site will enhance the Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering, Financial Control, Industrial Relations and External Affairs behind increasingly complex customer demands and operational objectives.
•Proven leadership and vision, ensuring that EHS and Sustainability standards are embedded and empower/develop the capabilities of the workforce to ensure the exceptional customer service levels, both internal & external, are achieved.
Your Credentials
•You will have a successful business and manufacturing management track record in working for Global companies. Well versed in all aspects of business analysis and reporting, industrial engineering practices and labor relations.
•A culturally sensitive, intelligent and credible individual who is familiar with the implementation of manufacturing techniques within a JV environment, and with the ability to manage partner relationships.
•Someone who possess genuine leadership skills with a proven track record of successfully leading and motivating a cross cultural team to accomplish clear but also challenging operational and developmental objectives.
•Able to demonstrate success in improving existing work practices to achieve advancements in efficiency, quality, EHS&S as well as profitability and growth at a world class level.
•Be a good negotiator and have ability to handle Change Management, Project Management, and Internal & External Relationships.
•Fluent in written and spoken English & Mandarin.
