Key Accountabilities:
Relationship Management
To build on existing and develop new relationships with regional and international press publications across long-lead and short-lead, mainstream media, trade, online and blogs in order to maximize media lineage opportunities
To develop relationships with complimentary PR agencies in order to maximize media opportunities
To synergize the relationships and activities between partners to ensure maximum exposure to press and customers
To gather all relevant information and materials on key brands and products and to ensure information sharing with relevant parties
To identify appropriate celebrities to be Lane Crawford brand ambassadors and develop relationships in line with the Lane Crawford brand image
Public Relations
To help develop and execute PR and Communications strategy with Director that maximizes key messages and brand positioning content including digital and social media strategies and plans
To work closely with CBO to plan the press calendar and press events in advance, ensuring maximum publicity and support
Draft, edit and disseminate press releases and other relevant PR materials on a seasonal basis and statements for media inquiries in line with corporate brand positioning
Drive key fashion news stories and secure day to day placement to support coverage across business units
Monitor and report competitor activity and relevant industry trends, events and opportunities
To execute with marketing all special events for key guest and celebrity appearances, press coverage and post-event coverage
To supervise and ensure media list are updated
To offer store tours and company overview to visiting designers and key VIPs
To supervise and manage the organization of the media library and PR archives
Financial Management
To monitor the expenses of each program and ensure all financial and account procedures are followed through on an ongoing basis and meet budget requirements
To recognize business opportunities and be responsive to market conditions in order to maximize business and be competitive
Team Leadership
To demonstrate and reinforce the Lane Crawford Vision and Values at all times and provide the necessary leadership to gain commitment from the PR team
To identify and facilitate opportunities for additional training for the team
To monitor and review performance of team, identifying individuals who are ready for promotion or require performance improvement plans
To complete and present performance appraisals based on defined goals and objectives for their employees in a timely manner
Requirements:
5+ years working in the luxury fashion industry, in-house or brand
Demonstrate solid understanding of the luxury fashion industry
Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment
Well spoken, with excellent communication and writing skills
Extremely well-organized and pro-active
Experienced in online PR and digital media strategy
Fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin
Communications and marketing degree a plus
