Responsible for managing all Logistics activities in Asia with primary focus on cost, quality and delivery. Leading the Asia regional team in executing Manufacturing strategy within the Global Transportation and Logistics organisation. Managing associated activities within the region and serve as the primary interface with our third party logistic partners, internal customers and cross-functional partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* manage and develop the Asia Regional Logistics team
* alignment with the Asia Manufacturing Ops. teams and Global Transportation & Logistics organisation
* development and implementation of regional Logistics strategy
* oversee the execution of projects and initiatives impacting the Region
* drive core/context definitions within the team and with external third parties
* strive for operational excellence to be reflected in Regional performance metrics
* ensure cost and delivery goals are achieved
* develop local relationships with designated logistic providers
* represent Regional specific needs with respect to legal, tax and customs requirements
* act as a communication and escalation focal point for the Region
EDUCATION
* 10 years experience in a global manufacturing environment (high-tech preferred)
* working experience within the Asia Region, including 6+ years in management
* BA/BS or equivalent qualification
