Finance Director
Responsible for cost accounting and inventory controls for the Company.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
· Identify and implement Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) reduction opportunities, margin improvement initiatives, inventory management, and return on investment to ensure that initiatives are measured, managed and achieved.
· Provide senior management with weekly, monthly and quarterly financial metrics, tools and key performance indicators to analyze report and drive the business results.
· Coordinate and provide weekly specific cost and inventory reports to the senior management
· Support SVP-Supply Chain for the senior management/Board meeting materials and presentations.
· Manage the strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
· Ensure that the financial reporting processes are in accordance with GAAP and the Company’s Financial Procedures, with an emphasis on cost accounting.
· Maintain financial controls to safeguard the company assets and to identify risks in a timely manner.
· Convert financial and performance data into management intelligence and decision making.
· Be a partner to the key managers of Supply Chain. Provide financial guidance to help management to make prudent decisions
· Responsible for proper inventory valuation and driving management action to reduce and control the levels of inventory.
· Responsible for inventory reserve amounts-excess and obsolete, valuation and quantity.
· Analyze the excess, slow moving and obsolescence inventory by product lines
· Provide global oversight for all inventory processes and procedures.
· Document and lead the Sarbanes-Oxley implementation for Supply Chain.
Experience:
· Previous Plant Controller or Cost Accounting management experience – specialized in cost accounting, understanding of general ledger, journal entries, inventory, cost of sales, etc.
· Experience in Hyperion, Oracle and Global Data Warehouse plus.
· Leadership – must have the ability to work in the details with plant operations and with senior leadership team on strategic product cost reductions and inventory management.
Requirements:
· The successful candidate for this position must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing/cost accounting environment and a proven track record of success in finance assignments.
· US GAAP knowledge and experience are required.
· B.S. in Finance or Accounting MBA preferred.
· The candidate must have the ability and a proven track record of developing high-level talent in their direct and indirect reports.
· The candidate must have a strong sense of urgency and drive for results; someone who is decisive, confident and communicates effectively.
· Fluent in Mandarin Chinese is a plus
