Where to get startup ideas ?
One good way is to treat MySpace and Facebook as new "Operating Systems", and you can develop applications on the top of it. The best parts of these platforms are:
1. You can access millions users
2. Viral marketing effects work.
The latest example, Photobucket, an application build for MySpace, recently acquired by MySpace for $250 Million
We will have an interactive discussion session on the topic.
When: Sat, 6/23, 10 am.
Location: 2953 Bunker Hill Lane, #400, Santa Clara, CA, 95054
(come to the fourth floor).
David Zhuang will lead the discussion. Slides will be sent out early. (We are contacting people in Facebook, they may send someone to the event).

Several people have asked me about the fuss on the
Facebook Platform. The best coverage on this topic is
from Marc Andreessen, the founder of Netscape, in his
blog.
And his conclusion: "This is an amazing achievement --
one of the most significant milestones in the
technology industry in this decade."
When the creator of the Web industry gives such a high
remark to a product that's only 3 weeks old, we better
pay attention.
