I'm 33 years old and have about 10 years of high tech sales experience. It feels like a good time to make a change and I am gravitating towards venture capital or other kind of business positions. I do have a good base understanding of business issues but my background is technical and not really familiar with all the accounting modeling techniques. Been exploring VC job boards but the feedback has been minimal.
Has anyone gone through similar challenges? Going to a top tier MBA school seems like a good door opener, but at this stage in my career, spending two years in school has such a high opportunity cost that I am hesitating a bit, and EMBA seems to miss out on a major part of the MBA experience: networking.
