The Position
The Finance manager, reporting to regional finance controller, key customers including Regional Controller, Regional Department Heads, Owner/Operators. The ideal candidate will have a broad experience in finance and accounting, and have prior experience within a large international organization.
Principal Accountabilities
In addition to following McDonald’s policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but not limited to:
Strategic Business Development
Analyzes and consults on the financial impact of key strategies on long-term income growth;
Participates in the development of long-term strategic plans;
Influences Regional management on the prioritization of strategies and tactics to balance the impact on income both short- and long-term;
Understand and interprets business trends (economic, competitive, etc.)
Regional Profitability Growth
Coordinates and preparation and presentation of region’s annual financial plan;
Interprets trends and forecasts financial results of the Region;
Identifies gaps between forecasted results and targets, then makes recommendations to ensure annual Regional financial goal are achieved;
Consults with Regional Management regarding the impact of business decision on short- and long-term profitability and makes recommendations that adds to shareholder value;
Coaching, Training and Development
Responsible for training and consulting of Regional staff, Franchisee and Registered Applications as it pertains to key financial information, changes in Company Accounting policies and procedures and other pertinent data;
Provide ongoing coaching, training and development of Regional accounting staff;
Provides constructive feedback to Home Office, and Accounting Centers to improve efficiency and enhance the quality of accounting service;
Builds and maintains relationship with banks and CPA firms to support the ongoing success of the system;
Fiduciary Responsibility
Ensures that financial practices are sound and in accordance with accounting rouls (GAAP, etc.) as well as company guidelines, policies and procedures;
Establishes and maintains internal control procedures to safeguard corporate assets;
Qualifications:
Fluent in Chinese and English
Bachelors degree (or international equivalent) required, MBA preferred
Working knowledge of tax and audit, including managing relationships with external professionals
Financial Planning & Analysis experience
Internal controls and compliance experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
Minimum 5 years of financial and management experience
U.S. GAAP knowledge/experience preferred
