Title: Manager, Education Services
Department: China Education
Report to: Sr. Director, APAC Education
Basic Purpose
Provide Leadership, sales and people management to China Education Services team. Key responsibilities include people/resource management, training business development, and establishment of operational procedures, best practices and team goals which support the overall China Education Services goals.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Business Responsibilities
• Participate in the formation and implementation of strategies, business plans and execution plan which:
o Support Enterprise Volume Sales
o Increase Revenue
o Improve Margins
o Increase Customer satisfaction and quality of education engagements
o Differentiate educational offerings and programs
. Provide sales guidance and capable to establish relationship with customers and close
big enterprise learning purchase
• Create, implement, and manage processes to gather, track, analyze, report and monitor business operation metrics (i.e. discounting, invoicing, customer satisfaction, operational expenses, margins, business growth, etc.)
• Communicate regularly with peers and upper management about team status, including potential or perceived problems, challenges and suggest recommendations
• Act in cooperation with upper management to perform resource planning, set organizational goals, and build the necessary infrastructure to support the development of premium course materials
• Facilitate operational readiness by developing and implementing processes that ensure successful rollout of new offerings and programs
• Develop, propose and build organizational structure to exceed business and quality objectives
• Implement organizational infrastructure to support service delivery and people
• Perform business development; develop and deliver pre-sales presentations and proposals for client engagements, and relay any potential opportunities to Sales
Management Responsibilities
• Take a leadership role in managing and developing the sales and delivery team
• Participate in the development of hiring plan to appropriately meet budget and revenue targets and recruit and select staff
• Train, coach, and develop staff
• Establish, model, and enforce organizational standards for quality of work and monitor the quality of work done staff and provide suggestions for improving performance
• Appraise staff performance relative to position requirements; initiate performance corrective action where necessary
• Perform annual performance reviews
• Motivate and recognize desired levels of staff performance
• Ensure team skills and work quality contribute to meeting corporate and departmental goals
• Assist with developing, proposing and building organizational structure to exceed business and quality objectives
• Provide work direction and guidance to staff; effectively delegate tasks
• Participate in the planning and execution of readiness programs to improve employee skills
• Ensure Human Resources policies and procedures are observed within the organization, including compliance with EEOC and hiring and employment guidelines
Education and Work Experience
• Typically with more than 5 years experience in the IT education/training business or IT services field
• Typically with more than 2 years of management or team leader experience
• Bachelors degree required; MBA preferred
• Preferably with working knowledge of BEA’s products and services
• Good communication in spoken and written Chinese & English
• Passion in IT training business

• Ability and willingness to provide developmental coaching and timely and clear feedback to staff
• Manage relationships with colleagues, subordinates, and third parties
• Ability to delegate in person and on-line, translating strategy into tactical execution through clear objectives, prioritization, and assignment of responsibility
• Ability to resolve team conflicts
• Demonstrates ability to translate customer goals into work product that enhances the customer’s business
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including development and delivery of presentations
• Extremely responsive and able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
• Ability to effectively manage multiple training projects, including developing project objectives, prioritizing project responsibilities, delegating tasks, executing project deliverables, and tracking and measuring project to successful completion
• Demonstrated effective time management
• Demonstrated analytical and problem solving
• Self-motivated, creative, and solution-oriented
