Job Description
The Asset Center is asset management software, it is a portable large-scale 2-tier enterprise software product used by Fortune 100-company world-wide, and both the front end and back end are written in C++ and Java. Technologies used include HTTP, SSL, LDAP, Oracle, SQL Server, and DB2. The project aims to port the Asset Center to -UX Itanium platform.
This position involves all activities during the porting, including porting/bug fixing/testing/releasing.
Qualifications
Mandatory
* A bachelor’s degree or above in computer-related diploma
* Fluent English
* Solid knowledge in C/C++ language
* Familiar with at least one C++ framework, like MFC, wxWidgets, etc
* Good knowledge of low-level system programming on -UX (preferably the recent Itanium-based versions) (Not as deep as driver / kernel code, though)
* Good knowledge in Java
* Experience on Tomcat as an application server
* Good understanding of multi-threaded applications, both in C++ and in a Java Tomcat-hosted application.
Most Desirable
* Knowledge of Oracle Middleware programming (OCI version 7), and notions of SQL / database administration
* French (reading-level knowledge)
Key Words 1. 3+ years C++ experience and 1 year C++ development experience on -UX
2. 1 year Java development experience
