Pay attn to the budget where your local pay plus package will come from.
Local pay plus can run into serious problems if budget runs into problems. It is mainly funded by the firm's local budget.
At 1.4M, you will be considered a big cost center in China, you job will be very demanding. I don't know if this is sales or other performance goal li<x>nked position.
A friend of mine jumped from IBM China to another MNC in BJ for around 1.5M RBM a year. He did not survive more than 2 years due to the high demand and pressure of the job. I have seen quite a few examples of this happening.
The problem with China is that there are so many young, aggressive and cheap young talent around, your boss in China will always compare you to these local guys/girls, especially you are paid many times more to them.
Make sure you put in a good termination clause in your offer so you can walk away with something if things do not work out.
