China has no ability to develop a so-called new model which even US doesn't have.
When the developed countries ask China to slow down but they continue
to consume 10 times more resources per person, they are literally asking
China to stay poor and not to compete with them on resources. This is so
pathetically wrong. Why are they holding back the technology transfer to
China then? Why are they still moving factories to China? Why are they still
cold and indifferent when natural dizasters occur in China? They are so selfish
and superficial as governments and countries. China should just go down the
road that it chooses and raise the quality of life for its people. If the global
industrialization leads to the end of the world, the root cause lies in the
Western culture itself which encourages people to conquer the nature and
consume more and more resources. The traditional Chinese culture in fact is
the right answer to solve the problems that the world faces: harmony with
the nature, all the time.
