伊州州长办公室已经全面检讨当时在不了解情况下,为Anshoo站台,并直接写信告知中国电视台,州长与此事无关,电视台已经取区域中心当初作工作促成的电视报道。
中国投资人可以与伊州州长办公室核实该项目是否有“芝加哥会议中心由芝加哥市政府,伊利诺伊州州政府共同筹划5年,提供项目资金的55%资助”,再问几次就离州长全面封杀不远了。
这个项目就是开发商自己想给自己解套儿。否则不死不活他早先的投资失败。开发商打的主意就是一开工,自己的早期投资就回收了。剩下的就是玩XX的了。现在居然有人给这么烂的东西摇旗呐喊。。。

Father, son plan 3-hotel project near O'Hare

(Crain's) — At a time when many investors are trying to reduce their exposure to the flagging hotel market, the owners of a hotel near O'Hare International Airport are trying to increase theirs, with plans to build nearly 1,000 rooms on the property.
Ravinder and Anshoo Sethi, a father-and-son team, want to develop three hotels on the current site of the 117-room Chicago O'Hare Garden Hotel at 8201 W. Higgins Road.
The Chicago Plan Commission on Thursday will consider their plan to raze the existing hotel and replace it with a 336-room Element hotel, a new all-suites brand launched by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc., and a 296-room Four Points by Sheraton, another Starwood brand.
The investors also are in talks with operators interested in running a 362-room boutique hotel planned on the site, Anshoo Sethi says, declining to identify the companies. The three hotels would be connected by an underground 50,000-square-foot convention center.
Amid falling occupancies and room rates, many hotel developers are sitting on the sidelines simply trying to survive the deepening recession. Financing has all but dried up for new hotel developments, a major obstacle for even the most experienced developers.
The Sethis don't fit into that category, having never developed a hotel. The Higgins Road property is the only hotel they own. It was formerly a Wyndham Garden Inn, but became an independent hotel last year, says Anshoo Sethi, 25.
Despite the odds, Mr. Sethi says he is in final negotiations with a lender to finance the first phase of the project, the Element hotel. He declines to disclose the size of the loan or the cost of the project. A Starwood spokeswoman wasn't available late Tuesday.
The hotel market is likely to get worse over the next year, with revenue per available room (RevPAR) — a key measure that factors in both occupancy and rate — expected to fall at most hotels. But Mr. Sethi is counting on the market being much stronger in 2011, when the Element would open.
"We're building at the right time because we're opening up when RevPAR ramps up," he says.
The current plan for the property is larger than one the Sethis proposed in 2007 calling for a 320-room Element hotel and an expansion of the existing building. That plan was never presented to the Plan Commission.

The Sethis bought the existing hotel out of foreclosure for $10 million in 2003.
