An did not dispute the difference among OTCBB, Nasdaq, and Dow. We all know the difference.
The OTC market justifies itself. There are over 3900 companies traded there. For whatever the reasons, those companies feel the cost and return are justified. Obviously, there is an benefit and reasons for the market since there are more than 3900 of them now. Enron listed there too
So If An helps someone listed, he is a facilitator. His works can only sustain if people in the market feel the benefit.
OTCBB/Pinkies are for SPECULATION. The SEC requirements are completely different for OTCBB. I am not in IB but I know those players in OTCBB are mostly institutional investors. Even there are some individuals, they are not of risk averse types. I am sure these investors are sophisticated to 1) make profit from it 2) help root out the rotten ones in the process.
To me, "Bob Sun" is a story and story only. I read it from business point of view - it helps me understand the mentality of Chinese market. So far, I have not seen anything Bob did violate any laws in US or in CHina. We are only judging Bob's intentions. At minimum, it has entertaining value. To be honest, I like it. Let us leave the law and consequences to judge Bob's actions. Let us wait and enjoy the story of little business venture.
In terms of "BobSun" deception in business, there are two examples: One is a famous test for Harvard MBA students. Another is from the results of a science research project. Both link the skills of deception to the potential of future leadership. Of course, one have to decide whether he can live with consequences of one's own acts. Just look at Clinton, Bush, Reagan, Churchill... They are PLAYERs in the game. The reality is "If you can not stand the heat, do not be in the kitchen".
Personally, I can not do what "bob sun" is trying (or is going to) to do. Neither I have the money nor have I the personally. But I can still enjoy reading it as most of us.
