I have a spreadsheet taking everything into account, including life expentancy, the present value of pension (7%, to be conservative), inflation (3%), return of investment (7%), etc. I went to my spreadsheet for a 40 yrs old guy, he need to have US$580K TODAY to quit his job and come back to China living my life up to 85. Since all the factors are from MONEY magazine, to be conservative (think about RMB VS. US$ could be 5:1, etc., etc.), I believe he needs a million dollar US to have a peace of mind.
