An is right but here comes more details:
1. First I got money from myHome equity loan
2. then I used citibank to transfer money ($40 fee for whatever money, took 2 -3 days transfer).
3. My parents get the money and exchange to RMB (at end of May this year, 8.263 rate), and pay the Aptartment in full
4. then I transfered the home equity loan to several my credit cards, 2 cards have 1 year no intrestes and 1 with interests with life time 2.99% APR.
5. I plan to clean these loan in 2 years.
The total loan is around $40,000, the Apartment is in GuangDong, I won't do it for Shanghai because too much expensive!
You can caculate how much you pay the house in total by implementing this way. considering the interest tax dedution and others.
