Interested to participate in the construction of University Studio in Beijing:
Management of Beijing Enterprises Investment, BEH's parent company, revealed the cooperation memorandum signed between Beijing and Universal Studio last October (2002) is still effective, despite Shanghai has also reached agreement with Unviersal Studio for the constructuion of a theme park in Shanghai. Which city/cities will be chosen as the final destination(s) for the theme park still depends on decision of the Central government. However, BEH revealed if Beijing will construct a theme park, the Group would participate in the project through its tourism joint venture with Hutchison Whampoa and Beijing Capital Tourism.
