我有一朋友，特别热爱中国的东东，学了中医学针灸，读了道家读儒家。快三十的人了，还在学校没完没了地学着呢。课本上的知识远远不能满足他，于是他总是如饥似渴地从我这里获取宝贵的中国文化知识。只要出了校门，就尊我为先生，凡事必磕着响头向我求教。这不，又来信了，问我问题，我一如既往地答不出。好在现在有博客了，我不懂可以偷着问，问完了再教他。
 
我说朋友们，有懂风水、中医什么的么？看看能不能帮我解答一下啊？别猜哈，最好能给个标准答案，别回头让我的学生出去丢人现眼。还有，最好能提供英文答案，这样我就省得翻译了。

I bought this cabinet a few weeks ago and it is very detailed. It looks like there are shells carved into birds, flowers, and plants that are glued onto the cabinet drawers. The very interesting thing about this cabinet is that each drawer is reversible with a different design on the other side. I have each drawer matched to it’s neighbor drawer. My questions are…
 
1. Does the reversibility of the drawers and pictures have anything to do with Feng Shui or Chinese Medicine?
 
2. If so, I suspect I am suppose to change what side faces forward during certain seasons, right? (ex. have the bird face forward during Spring and the plant face forward in summer or something like that.)
 
If nothing else, the piece is amazing and I love it.
